KS Bioplus, Kalasin, Thailand

At more than 9 football fields in area this is the largest anaerobic digester in the world. The Cigar® is sized to allow for factory expansions and futureproofing their energy needs. Early production of around 96,000m³ biogas per day will provide the energy to dry the starch as well as generating 4MW of electricial energy.
| Client: Kalasin Flour Co Ltd | Size: 79,000m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Krabi, Thailand | Value: USD 3.6 Million |
Chao Khun Agro (CKA), Saraburi, Thailand

This Cigar® CARB facility processing cassava fructose syrup waste was opened in late 2006. The Cigar® replaced a failed tank based anaerobic digestion system. The biogas generated is used to provide heat for the syrup processing, avoiding the use of 6.6 million litres of heavy fuel oil per year and to generate 1.3 MW of electrical power which is enough for 96% of the factory's electricity use.
| Client: Thai Bio-Energy Company | Size: 3,000m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Krabi, Thailand | Value: USD 2.25 Million R.O.I 26 months |
Pilot Plants A & B, Netherlands

Starch production for energy is very profitable and this custom built pilot plant in the Netherlands is at the forefront of our research efforts to enhance environmental energy technologies. We are looking forward several major projects to go ahead in the Netherlands and the UK.

Camellia, Sydney, Australia

A large commercial venture designed to recover energy and fertiliser from 51,000 tonnes/year of food wastes from supermarkets, restaurants and food industries. The facility generates approximately 3.0 MW of electrical energy while utilising the waste heat to produce high quality organic fertiliser.
| Client: Camellia Waste to Energy | Size: 2 x 5,000m³ Anaerobic Reactors |
| Location: Sydney, Australia | Value: AUD 30 Million |
Jiratpattana, Thailand

This Cigar® CARB facility processing starch waste opened in mid 2006, and runs two 0.5MW generators as well as providing the nearby factory with biogas. Like with most other projects the facility has fully automated operations and remote performance monitoring via the Cigar® CONTROL system.
| Client: Thai Biogas Company | Size: 3,500m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Kalasin, Thailand | Value: USD 3.1 Million R.O.I. ~ 36 Months |
Khorat, Thailand

At the time of commissioning this was the largest anaerobic digester in the Southern Hemisphere. This facility produces more than 90,000m³ biogas per day from the daily discharge of more than 7,000m³ high strength wastewater from processing Cassava root. The biogas replaces 7 million litres of heavy fuel oil per year and it also fuels an electricity generation plant that provides more than half of the power needs of the nearby plant which produces 750 tons of native starch per day.
| Client: Khorat Waste to Energy (KWTE) | Size: 7,000m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Khorat, Thailand | Value: USD 5.0 Million R.O.I. ~ 18 Months |
Kitroongruang, Map Ta Phut, Thailand

This Cigar® CARB facility is successfully treating Cassava waste. The digester was designed to process 2,800m³ wastewater per day, with an average organic load of 15,000mg/l COD, and produce 24,000m³/day of biogas used for factory process heat and to generate 1.3 MW, of electrical energy from a Jenbacher generator.
| Client: Thai Biogas Company | Size: 2,800m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Map Ta Phut, Thailand | Value: USD 3.1 Million R.O.I. ~ 24 Months |
Lampung Bekri, Sumatra, Indonesia

Treating waste from 22,000 head of cattle. Initially the project will generate revenue from CDM’s only but there will likely be an investment into a Genset in the future. Biogas production is expected to be around 8,000m³ per day.
| Client: EcoSecurities Indonesia | Size: 800m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Sumatra, Indonesia | Value: USD 1 Million |
Semino, Santa Fe, Argentina

This is the first of many plants in a new market for us. Our new office in Salta, Argentina is fielding a lot of interest.
| Client: Semino | Size: 2,200m³ wastewater per day |
| Location: Santa Fe, Argentina | Value: Ongoing Contract (withheld) |
Siam, Krabi, Thailand

A Cigar® HiGREASE treating Palm Oil Mill Effluent processing more than 11,000m³ biogas per day and generating 1MW of electrical energy. Excess gas is flared for CDM revenue. Gas production is exceeding expectations with potential for additional electricity generation.

TAE Lanna, Dan Chang, Thailand

A Cigar® CARB facility processing the stillage from a Molasses distillery producing transport ethanol. The plant produces boiler fuel and wastewater suitable for irrigation. The project was technically demanding but has proven to be very robust and copes well with an incoming waste strength which is twice the concentration of COD it was originally designed for. The facility produces 28,000m³ biogas per day.
